Fundamentals of quantum mechanics, statistical thermodynamics, classical thermodynamics and chemical kinetics. The application of physical chemistry to biochemistry and molecular biology with an emphasis on the determination of molecular structure and molecular interactions. Prerequisite: CHEM110B PO; PHYS041 PO; and either MATH031 PO, MATH031S PO, MATH032 PO, MATH032S PO or MATH060 PO.
